Collections can be restricted and visible/readable only to collection members, or they can be open to anyone. In order to add works to a collection, they must be approved by a collection admin.
Collection members can be assigned different permission levels: owner, manager, curator, and reader.

If you are the admin of a Commons group that has created an associated collection in KCWorks, you will automatically receive Collection Owner permissions when you create the group.
